Top 5 Social Networking Apps on iOS in Mexico, Q3 2022

During the third quarter of 2022, the top five social networking applications on the iOS platform in Mexico demonstrated diverse trends in downloads, active users, and revenue. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a comprehensive look at the market performance of these popular apps.

WhatsApp Messenger saw a significant fluctuation in weekly downloads. Early in the quarter, downloads hovered around 150K, peaking at 234.9K in mid-August before gradually declining to 174.2K by the end of September. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, ranging from approximately 5.8M to 5.9M throughout the quarter.

Messenger experienced a steady decline in weekly downloads from 102.1K at the start of the quarter to about 85.2K by the end. However, active users showed a more positive trend, starting at 6.2M and increasing to 6.2M by late September.

Facebook maintained consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $19K to $20K. Weekly downloads varied, with a low of approximately 75K and a high of 104.1K. Active users consistently increased, starting at 15.8M and peaking at 16.1M towards the end of the quarter.

Telegram Messenger showed moderate revenue growth, reaching about $1.2K in late August. Downloads slightly increased from around 44.3K to 55.5K over the quarter. Active users saw a minor decline, starting at 664.2K and ending at 627.6K.

BeReal: Photos & Friends Daily exhibited remarkable growth in both downloads and active users. Downloads surged from 2K at the beginning of July to 63.9K by the end of September. Active users also saw a substantial rise, starting at 20.6K and reaching 170.2K by the quarter's end.
